September General Events
In addition to the Reading Carnival, we will be having our usual monthly meeting and coffee chat!
Our monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, September 26th from 7-9 pm in SMTH 118. During this meeting, we will have a seminar-style, spoiler-free discussion of our books of the month, then split into smaller groups for those who would like to discuss the books with spoilers. The books of the month for September are Catch-22 by Joseph Heller and Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley. Along with several other books, we will be giving out Firekeeper’s Daughter during the Reading Carnival! Just a reminder that you do not have to read both or either of these books to participate in the meeting!
Our coffee chat for this month will be Sunday, September 17th from 1-3 PM at the PMU. During this laid-back meeting, we will chat and play games! This is a great event for making friends! Coffee chats usually take place in the fireplace room on the main level of the PMU, but may be outside if the weather is nice!
Additionally, we encourage everyone who would like to be more involved in the club to apply for the Communication Committee! Be sure to submit your CC application if you would like a leadership role within the book club! The form will close Wednesday, September 6th at midnight. To apply, please fill out this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc2rVmBAe9Z-b-lI9SjR8EBAXnKgI5FrqstvNvAr1StkgOm0g/viewform.
We hope to see you at all our September events!
