November General Events
Our meetings and books for this October have been determined! We will be having our normal monthly book club meeting and our usual coffee chat. We will also be having a cozy movie night to welcome the Winter season. As always, you can view a full list of events here.
Our monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, November 28th, from 7-9 p.m. in STEW 206. We will start with a seminar-style, spoiler-free discussion of our monthly books, splitting up into small groups after to have spoiler discussions. The books of the month are 1984 by George Orwell and This is How You Lose The Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone. As a reminder, you do not have to read both or either of these books to participate in the meeting!
Our coffee chat for this month will be Sunday, November 5th from 1-3 PM at the PMU. During this laid-back meeting, we will chat and play games! This is a great event for making friends! Coffee chats usually take place in the fireplace room on the main level of the PMU, but may be outside if the weather is nice!
Our Cozy Movie Night will be Friday, Nov. 10th, 7-9pm in STEW 320. We will have tie blanket making, free books for everyone, hot cocoa, and our movie for the night will be Coco. We will be handing out:
Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree
The Bear and The Nightingale by Katherine Arden
Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
First & Then by Emma Mills
Please bring your own scissors for the tie blankets. Popcorn and hot cocoa will be provided! (Everything is while supplies last.)
We hope to see you at all of our November events!
