Monthly Meeting, Callout, Events, and Books

Voted by our members, this month we are reading The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch and A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik.

We will meet to discuss them in our monthly meeting on 4/25 from 7-8pm in STEW 314. Discussion is kept spoiler free, so even if you can’t finish them don’t be afraid to join in.

Naomi Novik: A Discussion with a Visiting Author

On April 22 from 3:00-4:00pm, we will be hosting a Q&A with visiting author Naomi Novik. Members will be able to submit questions prior to the event, and our President, Haley Huntington, will ask Naomi them throughout the hour. Anybody is welcome to join!

Naomi Novik is the acclaimed New York Times-bestselling author of the Nebula Award-winning novel Uprooted, Spinning Silver, the Scholomance Trilogy, and the nine-volume Temeraire series. She is also a founder of the Organization for Transformative Works and Archive of Our Own.

Coffee Chats

Also, this month are our coffee chats taking place on 4/16 and 4/30 at 1:00 pm in the PMU Lounge. We’ll meet by the model map of campus on the main floor. These are great places to meet new people and make some friends. For more information, check discord.
